Matt Rathbun
Chief Security Officer-Elect
Matt Rathbun is Chief Security Officer-Elect at OCC, the world's largest equity derivatives clearing organization.
As CSO-Elect, Mr. Rathbun will become responsible for Cyber Operations, Security Governance, Security Business Operations, Security Engineering & Technology Integration, and the Security Red Team. He joined OCC in February 2025.
Mr. Rathbun has more than 25 years of experience in information technology and systems engineering. Prior to OCC, he was the CSO at Two Sigma where he led a global security organization in guarding the firm’s systems, data, and intellectual property. Mr. Rathbun was also formerly CSO at Microsoft Azure Global where he was responsible for overseeing security, compliance, and security architecture. He also previously served as Senior Vice President, Cyber Security Engineering at First Information Technology Services; an IT manager at The Bank of Washington; and a systems analyst at Siemens Business Services.
Mr. Rathbun received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Kansas State University and holds a CISSP® certification.
