Embedded in OCC’s mission is our commitment to provide education to market participants and the public about the prudent use of the products we clear. One of the ways we accomplish this is through the programs and services offered by The Options Industry Council^® (OIC^®).

Educational Resources

As a service provided by OCC, OIC has delivered independent and practical education about the benefits and risks of exchange-listed options since 1992. OIC offers a digital learning experience through its comprehensive website, OptionsEducation.org which is tailored towards many different learning styles and investing skill levels. Through OIC’s engaging online courses, webinars, videos, podcasts and trading tools, all market participants and investors, regardless of experience, can utilize OIC resources to help build and expand their options acumen. All OIC education is offered to investors at no cost.

OIC Instructors

All OIC content is created and delivered by a team of experienced industry instructors who are available via email or chat on all trading days from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., CT to answer questions and provide education about U.S. exchange-listed options as well as all other products cleared by OCC.
