Megan M. Cohen

General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

Megan Malone Cohen is the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at OCC, the world's largest equity derivatives clearing organization.

As a member of OCC's Management Committee, Ms. Cohen leads the organization’s corporate governance functions, advises OCC’s Board and management on regulatory issues and oversees the regulatory rule filing process with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve. Since joining OCC in June 2014, Ms. Cohen has served in several roles of increasing responsibility within the organization. Ms. Cohen also serves as Executive Sponsor of the OCC Women’s Leadership Network.

Previously, Ms. Cohen was an attorney at Cboe (Chicago Board Options Exchange) where she focused on regulatory matters. Prior to Cboe, she was an attorney for the National Stock Exchange and also worked at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office-Criminal Appeals and Felony Trial Division.

Ms. Cohen is a graduate of the Loyola University School of Law and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she received her B.A. in English.
