Boudewijn Duinstra joined ABN AMRO Clearing USA in September 2021 as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining the firm, he was the Head of Risk Management for Intercontinental Exchange Clear Europe Ltd. in London. Before that, Mr. Duinstra spent many years working for ABN AMRO in several capacities, most recently as the Global Chief Risk Officer and managing board member at ABN AMRO Clearing Bank from 2013 to 2017. In that role, he was responsible for all clearing risk management teams worldwide, and also served as an AACB executive board member.

Prior to that, he held various senior leadership positions within ABN AMRO Clearing, mostly in risk management, including the CRO role for ABN AMRO Clearing USA from 2007 until 2011.

Before his time at ABN AMRO Mr. Duinstra spent most of his time working in trading and risk management at a large proprietary trading firm.

Mr. Duinstra holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Tilburg in the Netherlands and has completed several post graduate courses on portfolio management and risk management. Mr. Duinstra holds the Series 3, 4, 7, 24, and 63 registrations.

Mr. Duinstra is a Member Director on OCC’s Board of Directors and serves on the Risk Committee.
